First painting of the Texas Series. If you aren’t familiar with the history of the Texas Panhandle, think grassy plains and yucca where the buffalo roamed and the Indians hunted. Where you could hear the coyotes singing and the jack rabbits running. Cattle drives and Texas Longhorns driven by Charles Goodnight along with the first railroads. So many struggles and triumphs of the settlers of the Texas Panhandle in the 1800’s makes this painting the darker of the series.
